Cantha dissolves its trade pacts with the north
902 AE1,412 CC1,102 DRFirm date
By imperial decree, Cantha formally dissolves its longstanding trade agreements with the Tyrian human kingdoms, beginning the most isolationist period in Canthan history.
Emperor Hanjai's successor — remembered as a petty, small-minded ruler ill-suited to the Empire of the Dragon — formally dissolved the longstanding trade agreements with the northern kingdoms, declaring that the Kurzicks and Luxons could for all he cared "wipe each other off the map." His reign opened the most isolationist period in Canthan history.
Formal trade and diplomatic channels between the continents would not reopen until the scholar Ermenred of Ascalon toured the realm well over a century later, in 1022 AE.
