Around 972 AE the young Canthan necromancer Juedo performed a forbidden ritual that clothed the demon Mang in flesh. Mang ravaged the countryside for years until, one winter, Teinai lured the demon to the center of a great frozen lake. Raining fire to melt the ice from beneath it and refreezing the lake as it thrashed, Teinai finished Mang with lightning and boulders, banishing the demon back to the Underworld.
