In 1135 AE Palawa Joko began his full invasion of Elona. He seized control of the River Elon and redirected its waters, a stroke that let him starve and dominate the land's settlements. Quicksand swallowed the city of Kesho whole, a sign of the devastation spreading across the realm.
Joko's campaign was methodical and inexorable, and within decades it would deliver all of Elona into his undead empire, ending the age of the Sunspears.
