King Doric pleads with the gods at Arah
King Doric, ruler of the united human tribes, makes the long trek to Arah, the city of the gods on the Orrian peninsula, and begs the Six to end the wars and take back their gift of magic.
When the wars of magic brought humanity to the brink of extinction, it was King Doric — first king of the united human kingdoms of Tyria — who journeyed to Arah, the city of the gods on the peninsula of Orr. There he gained an audience with the creators and prostrated himself before them, begging them to intervene, to stop the wars and restore peace to the land.
The gods heard his pleas. Their answer would be to gather magic back from all the races and bind it within stone, and to lay upon Doric and his descendants the burden of guarding what they made. His plea is the hinge of the whole Exodus: an act of supplication that reshapes the world.
