Jadoth becomes the first Margonite
Hunted by the Forgotten across the Crystal Sea, Lord Jadoth prays to Abaddon; the god sinks the pursuing armada and transforms Jadoth and his people into the demonic Margonites.
The Margonites were a seafaring human nation that had settled in and around the Crystal Sea and chose to worship Abaddon alone rather than all six gods. According to the Scriptures of Abaddon, the Margonite Lord Jadoth was driven from his home by the Forgotten and took refuge among the cooling mists of the Crystal Sea.
On the fifty-first day of his exodus, Forgotten warships appeared on the horizon. Jadoth prayed: "Abaddon! Lord of the Everlasting Depths, Keeper of Secrets, open mine eyes and bestow upon me the knowledge of the Abyss." After an unsettling silence the sky shattered, stars streaked down, and the seas boiled and gave birth to a lightless maelstrom that consumed the armada. Thus was magic gifted to Jadoth, chosen of Abaddon and named the first of the Margonites — the seed of the demonic host that would follow the fallen god into Torment.
