The Empire of Cantha begins trading with Tyria, Elona, and the northern lands, as Shing Jea Island turns from logging to agricultural recovery and the Age of the Hedgehog begins.
By 221 AE Cantha reached outward, opening commerce with the Tyrian kingdoms, Elona, and the northern territories. In the same year Shing Jea Island was retired from logging and began its agricultural recovery, and the Canthan calendar turned to the Age of the Hedgehog. These first trade ties would wax and wane over the following centuries with the rise and fall of corsairs and imperial decrees.
