Central Tyria
The Bloodstones are scattered and the first Guild War begins
The volcano Abaddon's Mouth erupts and flings four of the five Bloodstones across Tyria, one remaining at the Ring of Fire caldera; the human kingdoms raise rival guilds and go to war over the recovered shards of magic in the first of the Guild Wars.
After the gods sealed magic into a single Bloodstone and split it into five, the volcano of Abaddon's Mouth erupted around 100 AE and flung four of those five Bloodstones across Tyria, leaving one behind at the Ring of Fire caldera. The human nations and their newly raised guilds fought to claim the shards and the power they promised, beginning the first of the conflicts that history would remember as the Guild Wars: a struggle that flared repeatedly over the centuries, the third war still raging when the charr Searing fell on Ascalon in 1070 AE.
