Chul-Moo founds the new Jade Brotherhood in Cantha
Park Chul-Moo splits from his Xunlai Jade partner Joon over her objections to his unethical methods and establishes the modern Jade Brotherhood, a Canthan order of tinkerers scavenging and reselling cheap jade technology.
While Tyria reels from the Elder Dragons, Cantha follows its own course. In 1323 AE (1833 CC), Park Chul-Moo broke with his co-founder Joon at the jade-tech company Xunlai Jade — she objected to his unethical means — and established the modern Jade Brotherhood.
The Brotherhood is a Canthan organization of tinkerers and engineers who scavenge and repurpose jade technology, selling cheaper knockoffs to citizens priced out of Xunlai Jade's wares. Operating from the Brotherhood Woodlands in the Echovald Wilds and clashing with the nature-keeping Speakers, the misfit order became, despite its disreputable name, an integral part of Cantha's everyday economy.
