The Seer–mursaat war nearly wipes out the Seers
A centuries-long war erupts between the Seers and the mursaat, once allies of the elder-race alliance. Though heavily outnumbered, the mursaat triumph with the invention of Spectral Agony and decimate the Seers, leaving only a few survivors.
Feeling betrayed when the Seers withdrew their forces from the war on the Elder Dragons, the mursaat turned on their former allies. The resulting Seer–mursaat war spanned millennia. The mursaat were heavily outnumbered, but their invention of Spectral Agony — a devastating magic they wielded against their enemies with deadly efficiency — turned the tide.
The mursaat won, decimating the Seers until only a handful survived; the tormented Seer dead lingered as ghosts in places like the Valley of Agony. The victors raised the city of Bava Nisos near the site of their triumph and entered an era of mursaat enlightenment. The near-extinction of the Seers is among the defining catastrophes the Wizard's Court later remembered from the Age of Beasts.
