The Seers forge the Shadowstone and the first Bloodstone

UndatedContested

To hide the world's uncorrupted magic from the Elder Dragons, the Seers first create the Shadowstone, then refine the concept into the first Bloodstone — a great artifact that locks away the magic the dragons would otherwise consume.

During the previous dragonrise the Seers began experimenting with artifacts to hide magic from the Elder Dragons, who were consuming everything in their path. Their early experiments produced the Shadowstone: a yellow seer artifact that amplified their magical abilities and could contain excess magic within it, with sockets for bloodstone slivers.

Refining that concept — and drawing on unknown divine resources — the Seers created the first Bloodstone, a powerful stone that gathered the world's unspoiled magic and locked it away from the dragons. Millennia later the Six Gods would recover this Bloodstone, draw on it to give humanity magic, and eventually break it into five scattered pieces. But its origin lies here, in the Seers' effort to deny the Elder Dragons the magic they fed upon.
