On the death of his father, Emperor Kintah, in 1058 AE, Kisu ascends the throne in Kaineng City as the 31st Canthan Emperor — the sovereign who will reign over Cantha through the age of Factions.
In 1058 AE the thirtieth Canthan Emperor, Kintah, died, and his son Kisu succeeded him as the thirty-first ruler of the Empire of the Dragon. From the imperial seat at Kaineng City, Kisu inherited an empire still split between its two great vassal houses, the Kurzicks and the Luxons.
Kisu's reign would stretch on for nearly seventy years, spanning the events of Guild Wars Factions — making him the emperor Canthans still serve when outland heroes first come ashore on Shing Jea Island.
