King Adelbern of Ascalon recalls the Ebon Vanguard, who found the Stronghold of Ebonhawke — a fortified human outpost that will outlast the kingdom itself.
In 1080 AE King Adelbern recalled the Ebon Vanguard, the deep-strike force that had operated behind charr lines, and from their efforts rose the Stronghold of Ebonhawke. The walled bastion was built to give Ascalonian humanity a defensible foothold as the charr pressed ever harder against the kingdom.
Ebonhawke would prove remarkably durable: even after the Foefire consumed Ascalon City a decade later, the stronghold held, surviving centuries of siege and becoming a lasting symbol of human resistance in the south of the old kingdom.
