After hundreds die fighting Jormag's forces, the norn abandon their northern homeland and migrate south, establishing the city of Hoelbrak.
By 1169 AE the war against Jormag had cost the norn hundreds of lives, and the far north had become untenable. Rather than be ground down by the Elder Ice Dragon, the norn made the painful choice to flee south, leaving behind the Far Shiverpeaks that had been their home.
In the southern Shiverpeaks they founded Hoelbrak, a great lodge gathered around the Spirits of the Wild. There the displaced norn rebuilt their culture in exile, even as the loss of their homeland to Jormag remained a wound at the heart of their people.
