The Elder Fire Dragon Primordus fully awakens deep beneath Tyria, forcing the remaining subterranean races to the surface and loosing its destroyer minions on the world.
In 1120 AE Primordus, the Elder Dragon of fire and the deep earth, fully awakened in the Depths of Tyria. Its stirring made the underworld uninhabitable, driving the remaining subterranean races — the asura, the dredge, and others — up to the surface to escape the rising heat and the dragon's spreading corruption.
From Primordus poured the destroyers, molten servants that warred against all who stood in their path. Primordus's awakening marked the first of the modern Elder Dragons to rise, opening the age in which the dragons would reshape Tyria.
