The sylvari Secondborn awaken
Two years after the Firstborn, the Pale Tree brings forth her second generation of sylvari, the Secondborn — among them Canach and Cadeyrn, the future founder of the Nightmare Court.
Two years after her Firstborn first opened their eyes, the Pale Tree brings forth a second generation of sylvari along the Maguuma's Tarnished Coast: the Secondborn. Like the Firstborn before them, they wake fully grown, shaped by the Dream and the creed of the Ventari Tablet.
Many of the race's defining figures rise from this generation. Cadeyrn, first of the Secondborn, would break with the Tree's teachings to found the Nightmare Court; Canach and the future Vigil leader Laranthir woke among them as well — as, unknown to all, did Ceara, the brilliant sylvari who would one day become the terrorist Scarlet Briar.
