Abaddon storms the Gates of Heaven
Enraged at the diluting of magic, Abaddon leads his Margonites — including the immortal Horde of Darkness — against the other five gods, assaulting the Gates of Heaven to make himself the one god of Tyria.
Incensed that the gods had gathered back his gift, Abaddon resolved to overthrow them and rule all of Tyria as its single god. He led his transformed Margonites, including the elite immortal soldiers known as the Horde of Darkness, in an assault on the Gates of Heaven — the site where Abaddon and his host fought the other Five Gods.
Abaddon was said to be the mightiest of the gods, and for a time the war went in his favor. The exact location of the Gates of Heaven is never recorded; only one combatant from that battle is said to remain on Tyria afterward. In the end, though, even the strongest god proved no match for the combined strength of all five of his brethren.
