The gods depart Tyria — the Exodus
Shortly after Abaddon's defeat, the five remaining gods erase nearly all memory of him and leave the mortal world forever, departing into the Mists in the event that anchors Year 0 of the Mouvelian calendar.
With Abaddon imprisoned, the Five Gods erased almost all knowledge of the fallen god from the world and then departed Tyria for good, withdrawing into the Mists. This departure is the Exodus of the Gods, and it falls in Year 0 of the calendar.
The Mouvelian calendar — named for Grand Patriarch Mouvel, first high priest of the Church of Dwayna — counts its years from this moment: years before are labelled BE (Before the Exodus) and years after AE (After the Exodus), with no year zero between them. Since the Exodus the gods have not directly intervened in Tyrian affairs, though they still watch the world and grant it the Favor of the Gods.
