Mordremoth awakens beneath the jungle

Scarlet Briar's madness had a single, terrible aim. As she died, the Breachmaker bored through to the ley line hub beneath Lion's Arch and ruptured it, sending a torrent of magical energy surging deep into the Heart of Maguuma — and into the waiting maw of Mordremoth.

This Dragonrise woke the Elder Jungle Dragon, the third of the Elder Dragons to stir in the modern age after Zhaitan's fall. Mordrem began boiling out of the jungle, vines erupted along the ley lines, and Tyria realised that Scarlet had never been the true enemy — only the key that unlocked a far older and greater one.
