Soo-Won falls and the Elder Dragon cycle ends

Lured to the Harvest Temple, the Void-corrupted Soo-Won is drained of her corruption and slain; Aurene absorbs the last of her power, ending the Elder Dragon cycle and becoming the sole conduit of Tyria's magic.

With Soo-Won's corruption spreading, the Commander and their allies lure her to the Harvest Temple in Dragon's End and deploy extractors to draw the Void magic out of her. Aurene shares her own power with the Commander to sustain the assault, and after the fully corrupted Soo-Won is defeated, Aurene absorbs the last of the dying dragon's magic.

With Soo-Won — the final Elder Dragon — gone, the dragon cycle that had sustained and blighted Tyria for ages is truly over. Aurene takes on the role of filtering all of the world's magic in the dragons' place, the realization of Glint's long design. The barrier between Tyria and the Mists is left damaged by the transition, leaving the new age vulnerable to incursions from beyond.
