Aurene
The Elder Dragon of Crystal and Light
Aurene is the second scion of the prophet-dragon Glint and a granddaughter of the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik. She hatched at the Forgotten city of Tarir in 1329 AE and bonded at once with the Pact Commander as her champion. After Kralkatorrik was slain in 1332 AE she ascended in his place as the Elder Dragon of Crystal and Light, and when the last Elder Dragon, Soo-Won, fell in 1335 AE she took up the role of the world's conduit for magic — the fulfilment of Glint's long design to replace the destructive Elder Dragons with a willing steward.
