Kralkatorrik falls and Aurene rises as an Elder Dragon

The campaign against Kralkatorrik culminates in the Crystal Dragon’s death. His vast body is trapped in Dragonfall amid chunks of land torn from the human gods’ realms in the Mists, and there Dragon’s Watch, Aurene, and their allies bring him down at last — the first Elder Dragon to be killed by such a deliberate effort.

With Kralkatorrik dead, Aurene — Glint’s second scion, raised by Dragon’s Watch — ascends to take his place as the Elder Dragon of Crystal and Light. This is the fulfillment of Glint’s long design to replace the predatory Elder Dragons with stewards who circulate magic rather than hoard it, and it sets the new balance of power that the rest of the era must reckon with.
