In the Dragonstorm, the Elder Dragons Primordus and Jormag destroy each other, and the immense magic released by their deaths flows south across Tyria.
The Icebrood Saga reaches its climax as the Elder Dragon of Fire and Destruction, Primordus, and the Elder Dragon of Ice and Persuasion, Jormag, are drawn into direct conflict. In the Dragonstorm, the opposed dragons — fire against ice — annihilate one another, with Dragon’s Watch, Aurene, and their allies turning the two against each other rather than against the world.
Braham Eirsson, who had become the leading champion of Primordus in fulfilment of his prophecy, is restored to himself once the two dragons fall. The vast magic unleashed by their deaths flows south; as the asura Taimi later reports, it travels an unexpectedly long distance — a destabilizing surge that foreshadows the corruption of Soo-Won and the events of End of Dragons.
