Kuunavang rouses Soo-Won to shield Cantha from the Great Tsunami
When Zhaitan's awakening raises Orr and hurls a Great Tsunami toward Cantha, the saltspray dragon Kuunavang seeks out the Water Dragon Soo-Won — the only power able to stop the tide — and together they turn back the flood. Kuunavang bonds to Soo-Won as her champion, able to hear the dragon's thoughts yet never controlled by her.
Around 1219 AE the Elder Dragon Zhaitan awoke and hauled drowned Orr back to the surface, loosing a tsunami that threatened to swallow Cantha. Recognizing that no one else had the power to stem the tide, the saltspray dragon Kuunavang sought out Soo-Won — the Elder Dragon of Water and Life, the Deep Sea Dragon of Cantha — and with Kuunavang's help Soo-Won shielded the empire from destruction.
In the aftermath Kuunavang bonded with Soo-Won, becoming a champion who could hear the Water Dragon's thoughts without being controlled by her. Rather than watch over Cantha from afar, Kuunavang shaped herself like water with her magic and assumed a human form, taking the name Navan to move within Canthan society; in time she became an advisor to the Emperor, her true nature known to only a trusted few.
