Cantha
The Six Gods bring humans, who are not native to Tyria, to the northern coastline of Cantha, the earliest known human settlement in the world; later settlers spread into the Echovald Forest and along the Jade Sea. Cantha's humans long predate those of the Tyrian continent.

Cantha
The warlord Kaing unifies the warring Canthan clans into the Empire of the Dragon as its first Lord Emperor, the moment from which the Canthan calendar counts (0 CC).

The Luxons and Kurzicks break from the Empire of the Dragon
Cantha
Under imperial persecution, the seafaring Luxons and the forest-dwelling Kurzicks rise against Cantha's Empire of the Dragon and are subdued into vassal clans (the Luxons in 462 BE, the Kurzicks in 459 BE), founding the two great houses whose rivalry will define Cantha.

Orr
With the aid of seven mortals, the half-god Grenth challenges and defeats Dhuum (the brutal original God of Death) in the ossuary of the Cathedral of Eternal Radiance in Orr. Dhuum's power passes to Grenth, who seals his fallen predecessor within the Underworld's Hall of Judgment.
